Apple Martin has blamed her spot outbreaks on "stress"

The 21-year old is only months away from her graduation after studying law, history and society at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and has now captured her skin troubles in a beauty tutorial.

Filmed on behalf of Vogue and shared by her mother Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop site, Apple told fans: "I know I still have a little bit of blemishes and such, but it was really bad in high school."

She also advised viewers: "The more that you stress about it, the worse it will get, most likely. This is all stress, so... ."

The video saw Apple go through the long ritual she uses to conceal her spots, blemishes and dark circles beneath her eyes.

She added in the Vogue clip about her love of her mum Gwyneth's style: "My mom's wardrobe from her twenties is just about my favourite thing in the entire world.

"Over winter break, as a little grinch Christmas robbery, I went back down there and I dabbled in trying everything in.

"I found this one pair of '90s YSL bootcut suit pants, and she's like, 'That is not appropriate to bring to college,' and I'm like, 'OK, fine'.

"But I did take those pants back to college. They make me want to do my work, they're very like, boss babe vibe."

She added about recently stepping out on the red carpet with her mum, who recently returned to acting with a role in the Oscar-nominated Marty Supreme: "See, that was the moment when everyone was like, 'You're your mom's twin', and I was like, 'Thank you, I'll take it'."

Turning to her beauty regime again, Apple also brushed off claims that she frequently gets her lips filled by saying she got filler on her mouth "one time".

She added: "I think I got it when I was 18. I just thought that it was too big, but everyone seems to think that I have crazy lip filler?

"I just pout my lips a lot, and I put on a lot of lip liner."

The video comes after Apple also tackled claims she was expelled from school for bullying, by posting: "Hi! I didn't wanna respond but this narrative is completely false and has gotten so out of hand.

"I have never been expelled from any school, especially not for bullying anyone.

"I completely understand people not liking me and that is okay! The Internet is a place where ppl can share their opinions.

"But this rumor is completely untrue - I am not that type of person and anyone who is close to me knows that."
