Concern for an increasing number of Kiwi drivers ignoring wildlife road signs

Concern for an increasing number of Kiwi drivers ignoring wildlife road signs

AA Insurance research shows more than a quarter don't pay attention to the signs.

Last year, there was an 11 percent increase in claims involving animal collisions on the year prior, totalling more than 2.45 million dollars.

Motor Assessing Manager Weaver Vagana says damage can range from minor cosmetic marks to something really significant.

He says one in ten of their claims result in a total loss.
