Fifty teams of Mini lovers are continuing their huge 24-hundred-kilometre journey today

Fifty teams of Mini lovers are continuing their huge 24-hundred-kilometre journey today

The fleet of small cars left from Paihia yesterday for the Pork Pie Charity Run - aiming to raise 500-thousand-dollars for KidsCan.

It's passed through Auckland and will arrive in Wellington tonight - wrapping up in Invercargill on Wednesday.

Co-organiser Peter Bjarnesen it can be a challenge - as the classic cars need to be looked after.

He says it's not a race, it's a long gentle drive the length of the country - and the days are long.
