    A stretch of motorway between Thames and Kopu in the Coromandel has reopened, after authorities attended to a person who was found on the road this morning


    Police says the person had suffered a medical event, despite earlier thinking they had serious injuries.

    They were airlifted in a critical condition and are now in Waikato Hospital.
