Police will be at ski fields this weekend to make sure vehicles and drivers are safe on the roads

Police will be at ski fields this weekend to make sure vehicles and drivers are safe on the roads

Operation Hannah will focus on vehicles coming in and around ski fields across the country -- particularly passenger service vehicles like buses.

It's named after 11-year-old Hannah Francis, who was killed when a bus carrying 31 passengers crashed on Turoa in 2018.

Police will be making sure vehicles are in a safe condition and compliant, and everyone is wearing a seatbelt.
