Auckland Police have issued a number of infringement notices as they've kept an eye on gang movements across the region today

Alleged offences include breaches of licence conditions and vehicle safety requirements.

Police say they're aware of several planned events involving gang members and associates over the long weekend, including a drag meet at Meremere, attended by more than 200 people.

They say their focus is on ensuring other motorists are not adversely affected, and that those involved are not engaging in dangerous or reckless driving behaviour.

Police say they'll maintain a visible presence on the roads for the rest of Easter Weekend.
