Serious damage to a lower Hutt BP this morning, which was smashed into with a stolen digger about 2.30am

Police say the building is now unstable, and are still hunting the culprits.

Digger owner, Debbie Randall, says they were shocked to get the call about the raid.

Randall says they were called by a Fulton Hogan contractor and headed straight to the BP.
