    Police says the person critically injured after falling from central Auckland's Hopetoun Bridge has died


    Emergency services were called to the scene around 3.30pm.

    There are road closures in place around the State Highway 1 link to State Highway 16 for both east and west bound traffic.

    Some lanes are expected to reopen around the scene as soon as possible.
