Formal education is being touted as a solution to high rates of car accidents among young drivers

Drivers aged 18 to 24 are three times more likely to die on the roads in New Zealand, than young Australians.
The AA wants to bring in mandatory supervised driving hours, extend the learner licensing period, and tougher tines for traffic offences.
But road safety campaigner Clive Mathew-Wilson says the issue goes deeper, and improving schooling is the answer.
He says people without a formal education are four times more likely to die on the roads.
