    Passionate racing fans have packed in by the lake for the Supercars V8 Taupo Super 440


    A predicted 60-thousand people from around the country and Australia have poured in to watch the weekends three races - vying for the Jason Richards Memorial trophy.

    After a profitable first hosting of the event last year - Mayor David Trewavas loves seeing the support for Supercars in town.

    He says 24 of the best teams in Australasia are in their small town and the fans really get behind them..
