A large hot pool complex is poised to offer 30 new jobs at Canterbury ski town Methven

The 15 to 20 million dollar Opuke Thermal Pools and Spa plans to open in August.

Project director James McKenzie says it will provide work, and boost visitor numbers.

He says the year-round tourist and wellness destination will provide business for other operations.

A manager has been appointed, and staff recruiting will begin soon.
