    Scientists hope the ocean floor will give a clearer picture of the earthquake zone around New Zealand



    Through EQC funding.. researchers will deploy 20 seismometers off the east coast of Wellington next year.

    Victoria University's Martha Savage says we do a good job monitoring earthquakes on land but we're blind to what happens offshore.
