It's a tale of two islands this week when it comes to the weather

It's a tale of two islands this week when it comes to the weather

MetService says a front is moving through the South Island -- which will also bring decent rainfall and blustery winds to Wellington.

Light drizzle is expected in Waikato, but most of the North Island is expected to remain clear and sunny.

Forecaster Mads Naeraa-Spiers says it will be good to break out a singlet if you live in the North Island.

He says the North Island is still warm to hot, with some areas reaching 30 degrees.
