The Tasman region could cop six months of rain in just 12 days

Nelson-Tasman's again under a state of emergency, with the potential for flooding, slips, and evacuations.

Tasman Mayor Tim King says the damage from two weeks ago is making things significantly worse.

Heavy rain warnings are also in place for Marlborough, Mount Taranaki, Waikato, the Coromandel, Auckland and Northland.
