    Flooding in Otago and Southland is impacting travel


    State Highway 90, between Tapanui and Waikoikoi, is closed due to flooding and a detour's in place.

    Other highways in the region may be down to one lane, or partially blocked, and NZTA's advising motorists to drive to the conditions.

    MetService forecasts rain to continue, with a rain watch in place for the headwaters of the Otago lakes and rivers tomorrow.

    Strong wind watches are also in place for Central Otago, and the surrounding regions from tomorrow.
