NRL league's top-six has been decided - although the order could change in the final round of the regular season

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

Cronulla have moved to fifth, and can't fall lower than sixth, after a 40-16 home win over Newcastle.

Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon discovered the result ensured a home final during the post-match press conference.

Cronulla could be the only Sydney-based side to host a final in the first weekend.

Canberra and Melbourne will stage the 1 versus 4 and 2 versus 3 matches respectively.

As things stand, the sixth-placed Warriors would host an elimination final in Auckland against whoever finishes seventh.
