Police are seeking more than a dozen people possibly linked to last night fatal shooting at Auckland's Grey Lynn

Police are seeking more than a dozen people possibly linked to last night fatal shooting at Auckland's Grey Lynn

One person was shot dead - after a violent altercation between two groups on Tuarangi Road before seven.

Two men with gunshot injuries presented at Auckland Hospital last night - and a third injured man was taken to hospital after speaking with Police.

It's too early to know if they will be charged.

Detective Inspector Glenn Baldwin says there's a lot of moving parts - and it's still unclear what went down and the full number of people involved.

He says the scene was chaotic when police arrived and people had already fled the area.

He's hoping CCTV footage from the community and local traffic cameras will help provide more clarity.
