    A 38th test ton has jumped Joe Root three spots to become the second highest run scorer in the format.

    Root's knock of 150 has helped England take control of the fourth test against India - reaching 544 for 7 after day three to lead by 186.

    Root went past Rahul Dravid, Jacques Kallis and Ricky Ponting during the innings.

    He's still 2521 runs behind all-time leader Tendulkar.
