Optimism from White Ferns coach Ben Sawyer that women's cricket isn't necessarily heading down the same path as the men's game when it comes to the split between internationals and franchise competitions

Optimism from White Ferns coach Ben Sawyer that women's cricket isn't necessarily heading down the same path as the men's game when it comes to the split between internationals and franchise competitions

2024 international women's player of the year Amelia Kerr will miss the upcoming Sri Lankan tour of New Zealand to stay on for the remainder of India's Women's Premier League.

Top men's players are increasingly opting out of international matches to take big pay days in various franchise leagues.

Sawyer says - unlike on the men's side - the WPL is the one big competition where they have hard decisions to make.
