    A day after a maiden title winner in basketball's NBA - the same has happened on the ice in the NHL's Stanley Cup


    The Vegas Golden Knights have lifted the Stanley Cup for the first time - thumping the Florida Panthers 9-3 in game five to clinch a 4-1 series victory.

    Founded just six years ago - the Golden Knights were the first Las Vegas team in a major North American sports league.
