The NPC quarter-finals kick off in Dunedin tonight, with Otago hoping to continue their rugby resurgence as they host Waikato

The NPC quarter-finals kick off in Dunedin tonight, with Otago hoping to continue their rugby resurgence as they host Waikato

Kickoff under the roof is at 7.10pm.

Meanwhile, former Manawatu and Hawke's Bay head coach Peter Russell has died.

Former New Zealand Warriors prop Bunty Afoa has found a new home, signing with Benji Marshall's Wests Tigers for the 20-26 NRL season.

Afoa played 145 games for the Warriors, and became a cult figure at Mount Smart for his trademark big carries from the back fence.

And there's been another big signing coming the other way.

The Warriors women have sealed a three-year deal with a third NRLW winner from the Brisbane Broncos.

Front-rower Annetta Nu'uausala joins from next year.
