There's plenty of healthy competition within the Central Pulse midcourt for this year's ANZ Premiership netball competition

Returning to the Pulse after one year at the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic is Whitney Souness, who joins Claire Kersten and Maddy Gordon.

Captain Kersten says it's exciting to have Souness back in the mix.

As for Gordon, Kersten says she's a triple threat.

The Pulse open their ANZ Premiership season on Sunday against the Northern Stars in Palmerston North.
