Silver Ferns coach Dame Noeline Taurua is hopeful her side's latest climb in netball's world rankings can lead to more tests against quality opposition in 2025

Silver Ferns coach Dame Noeline Taurua is hopeful her side's latest climb in netball's world rankings can lead to more tests against quality opposition in 2025

New Zealand have moved up to second in the latest rankings, closing the gap behind Australia to 12 points.

There's a gap in the team's test calendar due to January's Nations Cup no longer going ahead, but the team will use that time to have a training camp in Australia early next year.

Taurua is optimistic more teams will want to organise test matches against the world's second-best side.
