Witnesses are being urged to come forward following a crash in central New Plymouth

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Powderham and Mt Edgecumbe Streets just after 12.30 last Saturday afternoon.

The cyclist involved died in hospital a few days later.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw a man carrying fishing gear and riding a bicycle, or who may have footage of the incident.
