    Ashley Roberts was told she was destined for stardom by a psychic

    The 39-year-old singer - who is best known for her success in The Pussycat Dolls - has revealed she was told as a teenager that she'd eventually become rich and famous


    She recalled: "When I was about 18 a psychic told me I would be at the Grammys. At that point I wasn’t singing, I’d just moved to Los Angeles.

    "I looked at her like, ‘OK girl, you’re crazy, thanks so much’. Six or seven years later I’m sat with the girls at the Grammys and we’re nominated for an award.”

    The Grammys have recently come under fire from The Weeknd, whose latest album 'After Hours' was overlooked for nominations.

    Ashley admitted she can't understand why The Weeknd was snubbed and yet Beyonce received nine nominations.

    She said on Heart’s 'Showbiz Hub' podcast: "It’s strange. I’m a Beyonce fan, but I wouldn’t say her last couple of singles were nomination-worthy."

    The Pussycat Dolls were poised to embark on their much-anticipated world tour earlier this year, but the chart-topping girl group had to scrap their plans due to the coronavirus pandemic.

    Ashley previously described the delay to their much-hyped comeback as being a bit "comical".

    She explained: "Covid came in and said: ‘Er, no, no!’ to everything.

    "We waited 10 years to get this reunion off the ground and so it’s actually comical. But it’s for the best because everyone’s safety is what matters most."

    The group were ultimately forced to accept that their tour won't happen until 2021 at the earliest.

    Ashley said: "Hopefully, 2021 will be when everything comes good and we can have mass gatherings again.

    "If next year comes off the way we’d all like it to, I think there’s going to be something to do every single day and night! But we’ve just gotta wait and see."
