Suki Waterhouse and Robert Pattinson had to be separated the first time they met because they kept disrupting a "very, very intense" Hollywood games night

The couple met six years ago in Los Angeles, and the 32-year-old model, actress and musician recalled how she gravitated towards the 'Lighthouse' actor, and they bonded over the "absurdity" of the evening while playing a game of 'Werewolf'

She recalled to the new issue of Vogue magazine: "I was sure that I'd met him a long time ago, but he didn't think that we had...

"It was very, very intense. There were lots of 'big' characters, real heavy hitters.

"Al Pacino was there. Javier [Bardem] and Penelope [Cruz] were there... and, you know, everyone was really acting.

"I think we both sort of have the same slight uncomfortable-ness [and we] started giggling at the absurdity of the whole thing."

Suki admitted they were so disruptive with their laughter, they "got told off".

She added: "There was a director that separated us because we were laughing too much."

The pair didn't swap numbers or see one another again for "six or seven months" but Suki knew the night "had percolated" something between them.

She recalled thinking: "I think Rob's quite funny, I light up when I'm around him."

She added: "[Living in LA] "definitely became a lot more fun when I met him".

The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, into the world in March and were excited to being "more chaos" to their lives.

Suki said: "We really planned it.

"One day we looked at each other and said, 'Well, this is as ready as we're going to be.'

"I was like, 'What can make more chaos?' "

The 'Daisy Jones and the Six' star found out the gender of her baby before giving birth.

She said: "I wish I hadn't wanted to find out, but I needed to prepare myself mentally."

And the "instant" she discovered she was having a girl, the 'Supersad' singer called her "mum in floods of tears".

She recalled: ""I was like, 'Oh, my God, am I going to have to go through what [you] went through with me?'

"I was just such a little b****. [My mum] usually loves telling my terrible teenage stories, but she was like, 'No, no, you were great. You were amazing, you were fine.' "

Suki loves seeing Robert with their daughter.

She gushed: "He was there with me [for the birth] and like all dads, he was really nervous, but for someone who's quite an anxious person, he's been very calm.

"[He is] the dad I could have hoped for. I mean a dad and his daughter? It's an actual love story."
