Kiwis halfback Shaun Johnson has hit the tackle bags hard ahead of tonight's Pacific Championships test against Tonga at Mt Smart

Kiwis halfback Shaun Johnson has hit the tackle bags hard ahead of tonight's Pacific Championships test against Tonga at Mt Smart

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The 34-year-old, playing his final test on home soil, is well aware of the imposing size of the Tongan players who'll target him on defence.

Johnson says he'd be letting his team mates down if he didn't keep working on his tackle technique.

The Kiwis have won all four tests against Tonga played in Auckland.

    Kick-off's at five past eight.
