The Civil Aviation Authority's looking into a fatal air crash on Hawkes Bay Golf Course

A glider crashed on the golf course on Valentine Road, next to the Hastings Aerodrome, about midday yesterday.

The pilot died at the scene.

A witness says the gilder was being towed by a light plane, but when it detached, went into a sharp descent, and crashed
