    The Los Angeles Lakers have given up home court advantage in game one of their NBA basketball western conference first round best of seven play-off series


    They've been beaten 117-95 by the Minnesota Timberwolves - despite a game high 37 points from Luka Doncic .

    Earlier the Denver Nuggets held on to edge the Los Angeles Clippers 112-110 in overtime.

    In the East ... the New York Knicks registered a 123-112 home win over the Detroit Pistons, while the Indiana Pacers eased to a 117-98 triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks.



    Meanwhile in the New Zealand NBL - the Otago Nuggets lead the Canterbury Rams 54-43 at half-time in Christchurch.
