    Volunteers are trying to locate a whale entangled in fishing gear in the top of the South Island


    Project Jonah received a report of the whale in western Tasman Bay this morning, and say Department of Conservation's disentanglement team are ready to respond.

    They're urging people not to attempt to free it.
