The Government's opening its ears for feedback on abolishing regional councillors - and replacing the councils they're currently on with boards made up of a mix of local Mayors.
Boards would then approve a regional re-organisation plan within two years of being set up - on major aspects such as infrastructure, and potentially sharing services.
