Convictions of four people have been quashed - in relation to the 1989 death of Auckland man Deane Fuller-Sandys

Convictions of four people have been quashed - in relation to the 1989 death of Auckland man Deane Fuller-Sandys

Open Justice reports the Court of Appeal has acquitted three co-accused - Gail Maney , Colin Maney , and Mark Henriksen.

Steven Stone's conviction has also been quashed, but a re-trial has been ordered.

He was convicted of Fuller-Sandys' murder - and the rape and murder of sex worker Leah Stephens.

Maney says she's waited 27 years for the decision - and it's a relief.

The Crown's accepting police failed to disclose information relevant to the defence cases, which caused a miscarriage of justice.
