    Police are appealing for information after a home invasion in Wellington's Miramar overnight


    Police were called to a Darlington Road home about 2am, when the occupants discovered an intruder.

    One got minor injuries in an altercation with the suspect, who fled before officers arrived.

    Although they were briefly tracked - they eluded Police.

    A member of the public was found critically wounded about 2.30am - and is in hospital.

    Police are appealing for witnessed and information - and say it's possible the suspect entered other properties.
