A Christchurch restaurateur has been placed on six months' home detention and fined 20-thousand dollars for selling recalled food

Xinchen Liu , the owner of Samurai Bowl on Colombo Street, pleaded guilty to a charge under the Food Act in November, after unsafe levels of bacteria was found in some frozen meals.

She was sentenced in court yesterday.
