Pharmac's being urged to give blood cancer patients assurance on what treatments are being funded in the coming years

Pharmac's being urged to give blood cancer patients assurance on what treatments are being funded in the coming years

Today the drug agency proposed to fund two new blood cancer treatments for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.

But the loose promise National made in opposition that blood cancer patients wouldn't be forgotten still looms.

Rosie Shaw from Blood Cancer New Zealand says there needs to be clarity about the next steps.

She says these people are considering moving to Australia or sell their homes, so they need to know what Pharmac's able to fund.
