    A Christchurch man, found guilty of 17 charges of rape and sexual assault, will be sentenced today


    John Hope Muchirahondo was accused of 21 charges of rape, nine of sexual violation, and one of failing to assist police.

    They relate to violating or raping 15 women between 2009 and 2021, in Christchurch and Auckland.

    The 38-year-old was found guilty by a jury after five days of deliberations last September.
