A Christchurch murder trial enters day four - with graphic witness accounts of the death and dismemberment of a North Canterbury man

Parts of Richard Leman's body were found in a car at an abandoned property on Rangiora's Tyler Street in 2023.

Police allege Michael Scott Rodger shot, dismembered and decapitated him - after smoking methamphetamine.

The Herald's Anna Leask says the court's heard from a woman who was there when Leman died - and another will appear this week.

She says Rodger denies all charges - saying the women killed Leaman and he was dead when he arrived.
