Offshore buyer enquiry within the housing market is expected to remain cautious

Offshore buyer enquiry within the housing market is expected to remain cautious

The question has been raised as to whether the travel bubble with Australia will add to the housing boom we've seen since the borders closed.

Real Estate Institute chief executive Wendy Alexander says just point three per cent of home transfers are to people without New Zealand citizenship or resident visas.

She doesn't see the bubble making things less competitive, but neither will it add a significant dimension.
