A Grey Power leader's appalled at reports of elderly people being discharged from Waitemata DHB in the middle of the night

The National Party is claiming 23 aged 80 or older left hospitals between one and 8am, in January.

The DHB says it would never discharge a vulnerable elderly person overnight without appropriate support.

Grey Power health advisory group chair Jo Miller says patients aren't being put first.

She worries whether these people are safe to go home, or if they're appropriately dressed.
