A further $100 million of Covid-19 economic support has been announced for the Cook Islands and Fiji

A further $100 million of Covid-19 economic support has been announced for the Cook Islands and Fiji

This brings New Zealand's support to the Pacific nations to a total of $215 million.

Foreign Affairs Minister Nanaia Mahuta says while vaccination uptake has been excellent in these countries, rebuilding tourism will take time.

Ms Mahuta says this funding will help their Governments to continue supporting the needs of their most vulnerable communities.
