More warnings for drivers, as road conditions remain wintry

More warnings for drivers, as road conditions remain wintry

Two buses crashed separately along State Highway Eight south of Tekapo yesterday, causing 15 people to receive hospital treatment.

There was another heavy vehicle crash on the highway this morning.

Metservice Meteorologist Lewis Ferris says it's a dangerous stretch of road in winter.

He says even though it's straight, there's often ice and fog, so people should reduce speed and keep vehicle headlights on.
