    A man's before court today charged with the killing of a 60-year-old in Patea over the weekend

    A man's before court today charged with the killing of a 60-year-old in Patea over the weekend


    Police were called to a Dorset Street home on Saturday morning, but were unable to revive the man.

    A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene and charged with murder.

    Police will remain at the property as a scene examination continues into tomorrow.
