U2's The Edge recently performed at a karaoke bar in Las Vegas

The 63-year-old musician - who is best known as the lead guitarist of the chart-topping band - has recalled heading to a karaoke bar after one of U2's recent concert performances at the Sphere in Sin City

Speaking to BBC Radio 2's Jo Whiley, he shared: "As you know, we were in Vegas for an extended period of time so we kept looking to try and find the subculture and we found a couple of cool places to hang out and one of them was a karaoke bar and it hadn't changed since the 50s so we would go there occasionally."

The Edge revealed that he sang two well-known tracks in the bar, and he impressed the locals with his efforts.

The 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' hitmaker said: "I went towards the end of the run, and got up and did, 'Should I Stay or Should I Go' by The Clash, and 'Daydream Believer' - The Monkees."

The Edge - whose real name is David Evans - has enjoyed huge success as a member of U2, winning numerous accolades during his career. But not everyone recognised the Grammy-winning star at the karaoke bar.

The Edge - who is widely considered to be one of the greatest guitarists of all time - said: "I got this amazing compliment from the karaoke guy as I was leaving. He said 'Hey - where have you been hiding?'

"I said, 'I haven't been much over the last... '. He said, 'You could do this professionally' and I'd just come off stage from the Sphere. It was great."
