Emilia Perez looks set to be the big winner at the 2025 Golden Globes after scooping 10 nominations
The musical crime comedy led the way when the shortlist was announced on Monday (09.12.24) with Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana both gaining nods in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture category

The film was also nominated for Best Motion Picture - Non-English Language, Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Original Score - Motion Picture, Best Original Song - Motion Picture for 'Emilia Perez', Best Screenplay - Motion Picture, Best Director - Motion Picture for Jacques Audiard and Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for Karla Sofía Gascon.
Selena also earned another nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy for her role in hit TV show 'Only Murders in the Building'.
Other films to have scored big in the nominations include post-war drama 'The Brutalist' and Vatican thriller 'Conclave'.
The nominees for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama are Daniel Craig for his role in 'Queer' going up against Adrien Brody ('The Brutalist'), Timothee Chalamet ('A Complete Unknown'), Colman Domingo ('Sing Sing'), Ralph Fiennes ('Conclave') and Sebastian Stan ('The Apprentice').
The big names competing for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama are Angelina Jolie ('Maria'), Nicole Kidman ('Babygirl'), Tilda Swinton ('The Room Next Door'), Fernanda Torres ('I'm Still Here'), Pamela Anderson '(The Last Showgirl') and Kate Winslet ('Lee').
The TV categories are led by 'The Bear', 'Only Murders In The Building' and 'Shogun'.
The ceremony will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on January 5 and will be hosted by stand-up comedian Nikki Glaser.
During the event, 'Cheers' legend Ted Danson will receive the Carol Burnett Award for those who have "made outstanding contributions to television on or off screen" and Viola Davis will be handed the Cecil B. DeMille Award for achievement in film.
