Jodie Foster dedicated her Golden Globe Award win to her sons and her wife

The 62-year-old actress was honoured on Sunday (05.01.25) with the Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or a Motion Picture Made for Television accolade for 'True Detective: Night Country' and after thanking those involved with the show, Jodie went on to pay tribute to her kids Kit and Charlie - who she has with former partner Cydney Bernard - and spouse Alexandra Hedison, who she hailed as "the love of [her] life"

Speaking on stage at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, she gushed: "The greatest thing about being this age and being in this time is having a community of all these people and we and our 'True Detective' team - who I love so much - are only here for one reason and that is the wonderful, beautiful Issa Lopez, our wonderfully talented showrunner and director, so grateful to you and your talent and friendship. Kali Reis, love you.

"All our cast and crew, the Icelanders and especially the Indigenous people who shared their stories with us. They changed my life and hopefully they'll change yours.

"HBO and CAA and all those wonderful institutions."

Jodie then turned her attention to her loved ones.

She concluded: "More than anything I want to thank my family because Kit, my scientist son, and Charlie, my actor son who is starting his career, hopefully you understand the joy such joy, that comes from doing really hard, meaningful good work.

"My boys, I love you and this of course is for you and the love of my life Alex, thank you forever."

Jodie took the accolade ahead of Cate Blanchett ('Disclaimer'), 'Griselda' star Sofia Vergara - who hilariously stood up and yelled "give me one" when she missed out on the award - Cristin Milioti ('The Penguin'), Kate Winslet ('The Regime') and Naomi Watts ('Feud: Capote vs the Swans).
