Andy Maloney is relishing the chance to hit the Waitemata Harbour in different colours this weekend

The Kiwi sailor is the flight controller for the new Brazilian SailGP team, after leaving the New Zealand team in the off-season.

Maloney says Peter Burling and Blair Tuke encouraged him to take the opportunity.

Racing in the Auckland SailGP event starts at 4pm.
