A warning for drivers in the South Island to keep an eye on road conditions tonight - with MetService forecasting heavy rain

A warning for drivers in the South Island to keep an eye on road conditions tonight - with MetService forecasting heavy rain

NZTA says conditions could be dicey on Tasman's State Highways 60 and Six - at Takaka Hill and Whangamoa Saddle.

MetService Metereologist John Law says rain's forecast to endure for 10-hours - from 9pm.

He says northerly winds will push rain into the ranges of the Tasman area.
