    Fire and Emergency is happy with the progress made today in fighting a major blaze in Northland's Waipoua forest


    There have been no unexpected developments today and a crew will be on site overnight to monitor the fire's containment.

    Earlier today Fire and Emergency said fire covered 91 hectares and over 90 firefighters and three aircraft were at the scene.
