Two men have been arrested after a dramatic police chase of a vehicle towing a caravan

Police were alerted this morning after a report a caravan had been stolen from outside a home in Khandallah.

They were spotted travelling close to the CBD, and as a Police chase began, the caravan tipped over at one point but the driver kept going.

They briefly hopped on the motorway after colliding with several objects and other cars, before exiting in Thorndon and crashing near Tinakori Road.

A 25-year-old and a 31-year-old man were arrested after a brief chase on foot.

They'll appear in the Wellington District Court this morning.
