Portia Woodman-Wickliffe's international retirement has lasted eight months

Portia Woodman-Wickliffe's international retirement has lasted eight months

One of the all-time greats across sevens and 15s, Woodman-Wickliffe has made herself available for the Black Ferns' World Cup campaign later this year.

It comes after a star turn for the Blues in their Aupiki season, where she was named player of the final.

Woodman-Wickliffe's wife Renee came out of retirement for the Blues last season and Portia says it must be a family trait.

Woodman-Wickliffe has signed an eight-month contract with New Zealand Rugby and will join the Black Ferns in their first assembly this weekend.
